Hammond Lumber Company has agreed to a deal to acquire Ware-Butler Building Supply, expanding the company to 34 locations across Maine and New Hampshire.

The deal includes 15 Ware-Butler retail locations in Maine as well as a manufacturing facility in Stillwater and two metal roofing production lines.

Three of the Ware-Butler locations, Dixfield, Greenville, and Orrington, will be consolidated into nearby Hammond branches.

The company says all Ware-Butler employees will be offered continued employment, including relocation to nearby branches on a case-by-case by basis.
