Nine Dragons Paper has successfully launched a pulp mill
supplied by ANDRITZ at its new integrated pulp and paper
production facility in Hubei Jianli, China. This cutting-edge
mill features world-leading process technology and production
equipment. ANDRITZ’s resource-saving technologies with high
energy efficiency and low emissions strongly support Nine
Dragons Paper in reaching its financial and sustainability
goals. ANDRITZ supplied the complete fiberline and recovery
island as well as stock preparation and paper machine approach
systems.
Mr. Liu Ming Chung, the Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer of Nine Dragons Paper, commented: “Through the joint
efforts of all parties, early delivery, early installation and
commissioning, and one-time successful start-up were achieved.
We are very pleased with the project execution.”
The scope of supply on EPS (Engineering, Procurement,
Supervision) basis comprised:
The complete fiberline for bleached hardwood pulp production
Switchable to softwood pulp production, including
state-of-the-art LoSolids continuous cooking, closed screening
and high efficient pulp washing as well as a two-stage oxygen
delignification and a three-stage elemental chlorine free
bleaching plant. The application of ANDRITZ’s latest Compact
Press for all pulp washing significantly increases washing
efficiency, reduces effluent discharge, and ensures longer
uptime.
Evaporation plants for black liquor and effluent
including an energy-efficient multiple-effect lamella
evaporation plant to concentrate kraft black liquor up to 85% DS
(w/o ash) and an APMP effluent evaporation plant to concentrate
effluent up to 65% DS. The design of the evaporators and process
reflects the latest ANDRITZ lamella evaporator technology for
cleaner secondary condensate and lower energy consumption for
excellent environmental and economic performance.
A recovery boiler with steam values of 515°C and 105 bar(g) at
the superheater outlet to maximise energy generation. The
delivery includes three-stage air pre-heating, flue gas cooling
and feed water preheating technologies to maximise renewable
power generation. The state-of-the-art recovery boiler is
designed to meet the strict local flue gas emission standards.
A white liquor plant including a recausticising plant and
lime kiln
The recausticising plant delivery includes a green liquor
cooler, a slaker-classifier, three causticiser tank agitators, a
dregs drum filter for dregs handling, a white liquor filter for
high white liquor quality, and a lime mud filter for high mud
dryness and low heat consumption in the kiln. The lime kiln is
equipped with a high-efficiency sector cooler. ANDRITZ’s
integrated white liquor plant provides highest environmental
standards and highly energy-efficient solutions.
An ash re-crystallization (ARC) system for the treatment of ash
from the electrostatic precipitator to decrease the chloride and
potassium content while recovering sodium and sulfate, thus
enhancing the efficiency of the chemical recovery process.
A stock preparation system to process virgin pulp for the
production of ivory board. The system provides high capacity and
superior quality pulp at lower energy consumption, fiber loss
and operating cost. Paper machine approach system, fiber
recovery and broke system ensuring high operation efficiency at
minimum energy consumption and maintenance.
